Lot's of female entrepreneurs and wellness coaches/yoga teachers want to build retreats into their offering and it's a brilliant way to add more value to your clients and give them an amazing and transformational experience. But it's easier said than done. There's a lot of work that goes into planning and delivering a retreat and you've already got a day job and a business to run!
The biggest issue we see most people come up against though is that they aren't properly covered or legal to run a retreat. A retreat is classed as a package holiday, even if it's not sold with flights. If you book a venue, provide accommodation & food and then some workshops, coaching or classes and your client is paying you for the retreat then it's a package trip and you are now a seller of travel. That's where the law comes in and you have a legal requirement to have tour operator liability and financial failure cover. These aren't high street insurance policies either, they're are specialist insurances that cost a lot of money and have a rigorous application process to acquire PLUS a lot of ongoing admin and upkeep to demonstrate that you are protecting customers.
As we're a boutique retreat agency we've moved from having retreats as a bonus offering in our business to making it the core of our business. We run approx 5 of our own retreats in the UK and worldwide each year PLUS we now facilitate retreats for other female entrepreneurs and wellness coaches to take the pain out of this process for them as we've jumped through all the hoops and have the full accreditation to sell travel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who are your retreats for?
Our retreats are for all women who are ready to put themselves first and invest in themselves. It is for women who are ready to take charge of their own happiness, fulfilment & success and make positive changes to live the life they truly deserve. It does not matter what age you are. It does not matter if you are a stay at home mum, work a 9-5 job, run your own business or are retired.
The diversity of our guests is one of the reasons they are a huge success. We value diversity and see the benefits it brings in helping us all to grow and see situations from different perspectives and bring different experiences.
Can I come on my own?
Yes of course you can come on your own! It's a brave and wonderful thing to do. People attended our retreat in Croatia. Marrakech, Santorini & Dubai on their own and made a whole group of new friends.
Will I have to share a room?
We have a number of twin & triple rooms. We will be looking to optimise room allocation where possible but you will not be asked to share with anyone you don't know unless you come alone.
Do I have to do all activities and workshops?
Not at all. You are free to do as you wish and attend as many or as little as you like. You do not need to pre-book so if the mood takes you, you can just come along. All workshops, exercise sessions and the activities are included in the price.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
The lodge has a great in house team and chef that is happy to cater for all requirements. We do ask that you let us know in advance by completing the details on the booking form.
Can I drink alcohol?
We are not a detox retreat and you can absolutely drink alcohol. We dont provide it as part of your inclusive booking but you can buy whatever you would like either a duty free at the airport or at the supermarket during your minibus transfer - we can request that the driver make a stop.
Do I need to bring any money?
You don't need any money at all for the retreat but if you would like to bring an amount of local currency for any souvenirs or optional excursions etc
What happens if we have to cancel because of Coronavirus?
If an outbreak of Coronavirus either in Mexico or here in the UK prevents us from travelling then we will look to book an alternative date/destination and transfer your booking. If that is not possible then you will receive a refund of monies paid with the exception of the non-refundable deposit. You will be required to deal directly with your airline with regards to a refund of your flight. Should you choose to cancel for personal reasons, but the retreat is still able to go ahead then you will be subject to the standard cancellation terms in the T&C's.
